Description of Cottage

Finished in knotty pine, this four season lakefront country home has 2,800 square feet of interior living space. It includes a master and single bedroom on the first floor, three bedrooms on the second floor, two full bathrooms, combined open kitchen, dining and living areas under a cathedral ceiling and opening onto a screened-in porch. A second floor balcony extends over the kitchen with a view over the living area and through the two-story floor-to-ceiling windows. A large recreation room is available on the lower level. A large deck beyond the prow and screened-in porch overlooks the lake. The area is heavily wooded providing privacy from other cottages in the area.
Amenities
The
cottage is fully equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher,
microwave, washer and dryer, gas BBQ, telephone and stereo/CD. It is also
equipped with crib, high chair, playpen and gates for inside stairways and
the deck. Heat
is provided by a central electric furnace and/or air-tight wood stove. Cold
and hot running water is provided through a pumped underground well that is
regularly tested for safe drinking. Satellite TV and VCR/DVD are
available in the large recreation room. See our detailed list of

On the Waterfront . . .
Lakeside
facilities include a large deck connected to a floating dock used for both
boating and swimming. A motorboat with 4hp motor, canoe, pedal boat and
2-person kayak
are provided as well as lifejackets, floaters and other equipment. The shoreline is
mainly rocky. The lake is 6-7
miles long and 1+ mile wide. A fishing license is required for
non-Quebec residents.
Location of Cottage
The
cottage is situated on a large lake in the beautiful Gatineau Hills of
western Quebec about 1 1/2 hours and 60 miles north of
Ottawa, Ontario, the Capital of
Canada. It is approximately 20 minutes from the
Mont Ste-Marie resort
area with golf and skiing as well as shopping in the villages of Lac
Ste-Marie and Gracefield. During the winter, 4-wheel drive access
with snow tires is
highly recommended.

Pease let us know the nature of the party (i.e., Total number? A family of
adults and children? Adult singles? etc.). We will gladly answer any further
questions and provide a short rental form. If you live in the Ottawa
area, the cottage can be visited during most weekends. Rentals are on
a one or two-week basis. Weekend rentals are not available.
